By overwhelming request, this Thursday, June 18 at 11 am ET we’re bringing Anita Ford Saunders, Deme Jackson, Felicia Blow, and Kim Clark back for part two of our conversation on racial injustice and the role of communicators in bringing about change in their organizations and communities.
The conversation among our panelists and within the webinar chat was inspiring and we are looking forward to continuing this important and urgent dialogue. As in the last session, we will keep this an open conversation where panelists will share their insights and answer questions from attendees focused on the following themes that surfaced in the first session:
• Advising leaders on communicating the Black Lives Matters movement and taking the necessary actions beyond just saying the right words.
• Recognizing and stopping Minstrelism and tokenism in your organization
While we will provide some actionable takeaways, including sharing links to resources that will be useful in building your strategy moving forward, our main objective is to answer your questions and build your confidence in having authentic and honest discussions about racial injustice and diversity and inclusion. To support us in this effort, please submit any questions you’d like the panel to discuss using this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7T7TDHC
Additional Panelist: James Shackelford, APR, President and Chief Executive Officer of SomaComm, Inc
